What a hidden gem! This charming little spot with just a few tables is run by the sweetest couple. The most delicious 'farm to table' plates are prepared in the open kitchen, using the freshest ingredients from local producers. The place feels like an extension of their home, filled with charming decorations that add to the cozy atmosphere.Thank you to this wonderful couple for their incredible hospitality and for sharing their traditional food with us. We absolutely loved every bite and was by far our favourite meal in all of Sardegna. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic and heartwarming experience!
It's hard to put into words how incredible eating here was. From the delicious local cheeses to the handmade Sardinian traditional pastas on offer, every bite was better than the last. Everything in this restaurant was so well thought out, and it shows when dining here. We feel lucky to have gotten a table, as this restaurant has 5 tables - it is worth the wait, and the reputation of this restaurant is evident in the long line of guests waiting to enter and experience this incredible food. We took a piece of Sa Cuchina piccola osteria enoteca home with us and purchased some of the jams that were served with the cheeses. A must visit in Cala Gonone!
Very local! Loved it. Local ingredients, simple menus, great Sardinian wines
Best pasta we ate in Sardinia (maybe even in our entire lives). Intimate setting, lovely wine, amazing service. Would love to come again!Make sure you arrive early as there is limited capacity.
The most authentic Sardinian culinary experience one could wish for. We arrived on the last day of the season and they only had two pasta dishes left, seeing it was all made fresh. The choice sounded delicious and they even catered for a vegetarian, so we went for it.Not only do you get delicious food made with local products but also very friendly service, who spoke English very well to help me with my crappy Italian. If you value quality, a great atmosphere and have a little time, seeing it is only the two of them doing all the work, then this is perfect for you.We will come again!
We were extremely lucky to have dinner here after a 15 minute wait for a table. After eating the meal, we'd have happily waited an hour or more to experience the food!! The menu was simple and everything we ate was incredible. Even the salad had the best tomatoes we'd eaten in 3 weeks of travelling in Italy. The melted cheese entree was phenomenal!! Both pasta mains were fresh and authentic. The desserts were great too. So glad we got to dine here, thank you
Absolutely loved this place run by husband and wife duo. Lovely people and the food is incredible, the best we have had on our trip in Sardinia yet. I recommend you come early at 6pm to get a table. Loved everything about this experience. Forgot to take pictures of the pasta it was too good to wait.
A wonderful local tavern. Small and cozy. It is run by a lovely middle-aged couple. I found the concept very successful and authentic. Like the place itself, the menu is very small, but this is exactly what enhances its value; despite the limited menu, the food offered is of very high quality and delicious. Especially the local bread "pane carasau," which is served with meals all over Sardinia, was the best I have ever had over the years, and of course it was homemade. Additionally, the traditional charcuterie platter was the best and most delicious meat platter I have had in a long time; the selections were excellent. I definitely recommend you stop by.
